Any computer connected to the campus network must have antivirus software installed. K-Staters can use the antivirus software of their choice or choose from a list of recommended software.

The KSU Wireless network is for all K-Staters. The KSU Housing network is for residence halls and Jardine Apartments. The KSU Guest network is an unsecured wireless network that anyone can access without signing in.

Microsoft 365 includes desktop and mobile app versions of Microsoft Office and can be installed on up to five PCs or Macs, and five mobile devices.

Microsoft Office and Microsoft Operating System licenses are available to faculty and staff for all university-owned computers at no cost. This includes 5 TB of storage space available via Microsoft OneDrive. Check with the technical support staff in your unit for more information.

The Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab is located on the 1st and 2nd floors of Hale Library. The Lab is a state-of-the-art facility that offers all K-Staters the opportunity to use the latest innovative technologies, including hardware and software for digital video editing, image scanning, large format scanning, web design, 3D printing, and more.

Multimedia equipment is available for free check out on the second floor of the Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab in Hale Library, room 235. A current K-State ID is required to verify identity.
