Tools for Transfer
We have established this site to help you understand the transferability of courses and the policies of Kansas State University. To make the best use of the site, make sure you have a complete list of courses, with course numbers. This tool is to be used as a guide. The transferability of courses and how they are applied to specific majors can change without notice.
Kansas State University's transfer equivalency tool is designed for course-by-course searches, allowing students to see how individual courses from other institutions transfer to K-State. In contrast, the Transfer Pathways tool offers a broader view by showing transferable coursework for specific programs, helping students map out how their completed courses fit into a particular degree pathway. The equivalency tool is ideal for students verifying specific course transfers, while the pathways tool is more useful for those planning their entire academic journey within a program.
Please read the disclaimers located on the "Transfer Equivalency Tool" and "Transfer Pathways" pages when using these tools.
In addition to other tools, K-State uses Transferology. Transferology is a web-based network that shows how courses you have taken or plan to take transfer to another college or university for credit.
K-State Core General Education Framework
This framework covers six disciplinary areas: English, Communications, Mathematics & Statistics, Natural & Physical Sciences, Social & Behaviorial Sciences, and Arts & Humanities. In addition, a seventh area is reserved for institutionally designated use, which K-State is keeping as free electives. In total, the framework takes up to 34-35 credit hours of 100- and 200-level coursework. These pathways show the courses within the Kansas Systemwide Transfer that fulfill one of the disciplines. Additional transfer courses may be used to fulfill K-State Core requirements. For a full list of courses and more information, please visit the K-State Core website.
