Health Professions Day

Registration is closed.

After registration, participants will be emailed with instructions to complete a survey to select a topic for each session.

Visit campus to learn more about the K-State Health Professions Programs! 

  • Receive an in-depth, hands on, look at the K-State Health Professions programs. 
  • Visit with current K-State Health Professions students. 
  • Learn about undergraduate research opportunities available at K-State. 
  • Network with Health Professions faculty and staff. 

Parents are welcome to attend. We will host a parent session in the morning.

Cost

$20 per student and $15 for each parent, family member, or guest, which covers program materials, parking and lunch.

Session Descriptions:

Kinesiology - 
Explore physiologic measurements used to evaluate cardiorespiratory health and fitness, including aerobic capacity (VO2max), anaerobic capacity and lung function. 

Sports Medicine - 
Experience firsthand the rehabilitation challenges faced by many patients during their road to recovery.

Pre-Vet - 
Take a tour of the college of veterinary medicine teaching facilities while learning about the entrance requirements. Discover how Kansas State University assists students with their application to vet school and learn what undergraduate degree programs a student should consider pursuing while completing Pre-Vet requirements. Session will last from 9:45 a.m. until lunch.

Cancer Research Laboratory - 
Interested in biomedical research? Explore how we learn about disease through the lens of science.

Human Body Laboratory - 
An inside look at the structure and function of the human body. (10 seats available)

Afternoon reception in the Berney Family Welcome Center.

Take a walking tour of campus and tour one of K-State's Residence Halls.
