I teach a variety of courses on early America, including Colonial America, American Revolution, and the Early Republic. Currently I am writing a book on the English puritan minister and Cromwellian partisan John Oxenbridge, whose career spanned the Atlantic world. Oxenbridge's experiences shed light on the transatlantic community of puritan "saints" during the English civil wars, and the diverse responses to the calamitous (for puritans) Restoration of Stuart monarchy.
