Microsoft 365, an office collaboration suite, is available for free for K-State, faculty, staff, and students. It includes tools such as email, calendar, office applications, file storage space, and more. You can access the suite from your desktop, web browser, or phone.
The K-State IT Service Desk is available to assist customers with general support for K-State email, calendar, OneDrive, and the installation of Microsoft 365 components, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Training and documentation are available from Microsoft for components such as the Office Online applications, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Power BI, and more.

Microsoft Outlook
- Email - Microsoft 365 email has a default mailbox size of 50GB. You can send messages up to 150 MB, and sync with supported email apps and mobile devices. Learn more about blocked attachments and K-State's Remote Wipe Policy.

Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365
- Desktop applications can be installed on up to 5 PCs or Macs, five tablets, and five phones. Online web-based versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and One Note are also available.

Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Teams is a communication tool for groups, teams, or departments and a workspace for communication, meetings, file sharing, and app sharing. Teams enables the participation of those with validated identities, for collaborations at K-State and elsewhere.
- With Teams, public or private teams can do the following:
- Create Channels within your Teams for specific topics or groups
- Notifications keep you in touch with people and conversations
- Chat-based communication through Chat and Wikis
- Virtual space for audio and video meetings with recording capabilities and Microsoft Stream
- Create, upload, store and share files in one place
- Group editing in Microsoft 365, files, and Wiki

- Teaching and Learning Capabilities
- Teams has a Class Team type, with assignment/quiz features, a gradebook, and other aspects that can be used for teaching and learning.
- K-State Canvas is the officially supported credit and non-credit learning management system at K-State.
- The Teams Class team type has limited support and is not integtrated with KSIS for class and student data or supported with other integrations such as textbook company software or engagement tools.
- Teams may be used as a complement to existing teaching and learning methods (face-to-face, blended, and fully online) or to help orient students on collaboration tools and expected work environments.
