Students get boost for summer research and research-related travel

MANHATTAN — Kansas State University's Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry is helping select students with their undergraduate research work.
The office has selected students to receive its Research and Travel grants for the 2017 summer session.
The following students have been selected for an Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry Research or Travel Grant:
From Greater Kansas City: Christine Rock, senior in food science and industry and political science, travel grant, and Kendra Schuette, senior in biological systems engineering, travel grant, both from Olathe; Aaron Akin, senior in biological systems engineering, research grant, and Maridee Weber, sophomore in agronomy and natural resources and environmental studies, travel grant, both from Shawnee; and Megan Richards, senior in biological systems engineering, Stilwell, travel grant.
William Patterson, junior in animal sciences and industry, Holton, research grant; Rhiana Martin,senior in interior design, travel grant, and Kseniya Sheshukova, senior in biological systems engineering, travel grant, both from Manhattan; Kyle Apley, junior in chemistry, Olsburg, research grant.
From Wichita: Benjamin Archibeque, senior in physics and psychology, travel grant; Elias Gillespie, senior in music education, travel grant; Shelby Goss, senior in music education, travel grant; and Kennedy Hackerott, freshman in anthropology and nutritional sciences, research grant.
