MANHATTAN — Get ready to be impressed by the incredible talents of The Peking Acrobats, the next event in Kansas State University's McCain Performance Series, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11.
The Peking Acrobats have been redefining audience perceptions of Chinese acrobatics for the past 32 years. They perform daring maneuvers on a precarious pagoda made of chairs and showcase their technical skills in various arts, including trick cycling, precision tumbling, juggling, somersaulting and gymnastics. They push the limits of human ability, defying gravity with incredible displays of contortion, flexibility and control.
The Peking Acrobats are often accompanied by live musicians who skillfully play traditional Chinese instruments. The time-honored Chinese music blends with high-tech special effects and awe-inspiring acrobatic feats, creating an exuberant entertainment experience reminiscent of a Chinese carnival.
