Phillips 66 renews support for programs across Kansas State University

MANHATTAN — Phillips 66 has renewed its support for programs across Kansas State University with a $500,000 gift.
The company is investing in student organizations, special initiatives and general department funding within the College of Business Administration and College of Engineering. This includes the new Engineering Leadership and Innovation program, which will cross-train select engineering students with coursework from the College of Business Administration and Staley School of Leadership Studies.
Phillips 66 has also renewed its commitment to campuswide initiatives like career services, peer-led tutoring and the SHIELD Scholar Program. SHIELD, or Students Heightening Involvement in Education, Leadership and Development, provides 24 junior and senior students with $3,500 scholarships annually. Kansas State University is one of 10 universities selected by Phillips 66 to participate in the SHIELD Scholar Program.

Philanthropic contributions to Kansas State University are coordinated by the Kansas State University Foundation. The KSU Foundation was established in 1944 as the official fundraising arm of Kansas State University. It is a separate, independent entity chartered by the state of Kansas as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education corporation. The foundation is leading Innovation and Inspiration: The Campaign for Kansas State University to raise $1 billion for student success, faculty development, facility enhancement and programmatic success.
