Beach Museum gala a showcase of the arts, artists and more

MANHATTAN — Enjoy an evening of art, entertainment, fine dining and more at the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art's annual gala at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at the Kansas State University museum.
This year's gala theme is "Celebrating Art: Transformations." Along with an elegant meal and complimentary beer and wine, the event will showcase student and faculty talent from the university's School of Music, Theatre, and Dance; a video/spoken word exhibit; and the opening of two new exhibitions at the museum, featuring wood sculptures by Charles Bello, founder of the nonprofit Redwood Forest Institute, and Chet Peters, Kansas State University's first vice president for student affairs.
Gala tickets are $125 each, with proceeds used to support purchases for the museum's collection through the Kansas and Regional Artists Fund.
