Broadway hit 'American Idiot,' based on Green Day album, rocks McCain Jan. 22

MANHATTAN -- The Broadway and international smash "Green Day's American Idiot," based on Green Day's Grammy Award-winning album, will come to Kansas State University's McCain Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22.
"American Idiot" tells the story of three lifelong friends forced to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia in their quest for true meaning in a post-9/11 world.
Featuring the Green Day hits "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "21 Guns," "Wake Me Up When September Ends," "Holiday" and more, "American Idiot"is under the direction of Tony Award winner Michael Mayer and includes choreography by Olivier Award winner Steven Hoggett; music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Kitt; and Tony Award-winning set design and lighting design.
