Two College of Business Administration students receive scholarships from supply chain management group

Thursday, May 15, 2014

MANHATTAN — Two students in the College of Business Administration at Kansas State University are receiving scholarships from the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals K.C.-Heartland Roundtable.

The recipients are Bryan Willis, junior in management, Overland Park, and Aparna Lohiya, master's student in business administration, India.

As part of the scholarship, the students will receive an all-expense paid trip to annual global conference of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, or CSCMP, Sept. 21-24 in San Antonio, Texas.

"I am truly proud of these two students for their accomplishments," said Chwen Sheu, head of the management department and the Paul Edgerley chair in business administration at Kansas State University. "CSCMP is one of the major professional organizations in supply chain management and being able to represent the K.C.-Heartland chapter at the annual meeting is a great honor."

The pair was chosen based on their strong GPAs, well-written essays and a strong interest in supply chain management. They will represent the KC-Heartland Roundtable in front of more than 4,000 professionals from leading U.S. companies.

"Both students are passionate about pursuing a career in supply chain management and they are going to benefit from this scholarship tremendously," Sheu said. "I am extremely happy for them, and know they will represent K-State very well."
