Military Affiliated Resource Center (M.A.R.C.)

The M.A.R.C. began in 2011 to provide military affiliated students a space to connect for resources and support throughout their K-State journey. In 2023, K-State began to implement the strategies developed for a Center of Excellence for Veteran Student Success to form a “suite of services” for our Veteran and Military Affiliated population. In addition to our physical location in Room 222 of the Student Union, we offer events and programming for our community of learners.

Amenities in the M.A.R.C. include

• Knowledgeable staff and student work studies to answer questions and direct to resources.
• Computers with free printing – 15 page limit daily.
• Fireplace lounge & study space.
• Kitchenette with microwave, toaster, refrigerator.
• Coffee and snacks.

Academic Success

The Academic and Career Engagement Coordinator, Matthew White, is available to provide guidance and connect you to resources across campus to support your academic success here at K-State.

M.A.R.C. Academic Success Hours, Spring 2025

• Wednesday and Thursday | 4-7pm
• Graduate Teaching Assistants from Quantitative Learning Center.
• Undergraduate tutors from Academic Achievement Center.
• Study Skills presentations and "Research Rescue" with Dan the Librarian.
• Coffee and light snacks provided.

Mental Wellness Experiences

The Veteran & Military Affiliated Services Counselor, Arianna Williams, LCPC, can provide support in a variety of areas including transitions to college, academic distress, communication issues, and coping with mental health challenges.

Student Veterans of America (K-State Chapter)

The M.A.R.C. works in conjunction with Student Veterans of America (SVA) K-State Chapter, student organization.
