Open forums for director of sustainability candidates
The search committee for the director of sustainability invites K-Staters to open forums presented by each of the finalists. The three finalists are Melody LeHew, interim department head of hospitality management and dietetics; Bruce Snyder, teaching associate professor in Division of Biology; and Steve Starrett, director of the Honor and Integrity System and associate professor of civil engineering.
The schedule of candidate open forums will be:
- Steve Starrett, 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, in 127 Leadership Studies Building.
- Bruce Snyder, 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Jan. 20, in 126 Leadership Studies Building.
- Melody LeHew, 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Jan. 22, in the Hemisphere Room in Hale Library.
K-Staters are encouraged to review the application materials and attend each open forum session in which the candidates have been asked to identify what their priorities would be to achieve the goals and outcomes described in the K-State 2025 Sustainability Strategic Action Plan.
Application materials and interview schedules are available on the Office of the Provost search website. Please be prepared to enter your K-State eID and password to access the information. The open forums also will be streamed live and available on the search website as will a link to an online candidate feedback form.
Oral or written feedback on the candidates also may be directed to members of the search committee: Bruce Snead, Derek Jackson, Casey Lauer, Sierra Lekie, William "Bill" Smriga, Jim Stack and Kelly Whitehair.
Please provide feedback no later than noon Monday, Jan. 25.
