'What makes news?' to be the topic of Nov. 21 Communicators' Brown Bag

The Communicators' Brown Bag Thursday, Nov. 21, will feature a panel of news professionals from KMAN radio, McBattas Publishing and Kansas State University's Division of Communications and Marketing. The brown bag will begin at 11:30 a.m., though speakers don't typically get started until 11:45 a.m. The event is scheduled to go until 1 p.m. and will be in the Flint Hills Room, K-State Student Union.

Panelists include:
• Moderator Jennifer Tidball, science and research writer, K-State's Division of Communications and Marketing
• Cathy Dawes, news director, KMAN Radio
• Fred Arnold, president of McBattas Publishing Company, which publishes the Belleville Telescope and the Fairbury Journal.

The Communicators' Brown Bag series is designed to inform and connect
communicators across campus. A social is scheduled for December. Details to be discussed at the Nov. 21 brown bag.
