  • Discussion of prioritization methods and evaluation of a proposed three-year rolling budget model
  • Discussion of a budgetary structure to help guide and determine major capital projects in the future
  • Discussion of the need to align the universitywide budget with K-State 2025 initiatives and priorities
  • Discussion of the need to build a broader understanding of the university budget and ways to reach out to the K-State community
  • Review of the Tuition Strategies Committee’s process for recommending tuition and fees
  • Review of the governor’s FY 2015 budget recommendations and potential effect on K-State
  • Identification of processes which need development for future budget transparency
  • Review of an initial draft committee action plan and time line

The committee’s next meeting is Feb. 17. Please send your questions or comments to budget@k-state.edu and updates will continue to be posted online at: www.k-state.edu/president/budget. The site also includes more information on the committee’s charge and other university budget resources.
