Biological and agricultural engineering professor receives three awards

Freddie Lamm, biological and agricultural engineering professor and research irrigation engineer at K-State's Northwest Research and Extension Center in Colby, received the NETAFIM Award for Advancements in Microirrigation at the 2014 American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers international meeting, July 13-16, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

NETAFIM is a company that specializes in irrigation for agriculture and landscaping.

Lamm also was recognized as outstanding reviewer in the society's soil and water division, and received an American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers Blue Ribbon Award for Outstanding Website Development in collaboration with faculty from Texas A&M University and the University of California, Davis on "Maintenance of Microirrigation Systems."
