Break the monotony of traditional weight training with the use of rudimentary equipment such as tires, sledgehammers, ropes, sandbags and cinderblocks to challenge your current fitness level.

Advanced Muscular Power Endurance Definition, or AMPED, is an amplified fitness program designed to enhance strength, power, agility, endurance and overall performance. The six-week bootcamp program will be conducted Sept. 24 through Oct. 31. Participants will work out for an hour at 6 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays for a total of 12 training sessions.

Participants must be a K-State student or rec facility member. The program fee for students is $50 and for rec members is $75. The class is limited to 20, so don't delay in signing up. Participates will receive a special AMPED T-shirt.

Due to the high intensity levels of this program, workouts are only for individuals who are currently maintaining a regular exercise routine and are intermediate to advanced fitness level. For more information or to sign up, call the rec office at 785-532-6980.
