The K-State Student Union has completed the recently relaunched K-State Student Union Ambassadors team. Three ambassadors were chosen at the end of the spring 2012 semester with the remaining three positions filled in late September.

The ambassadors program provides student leaders with the opportunity to become a liaison with prospective students, on-campus organizations, and the Manhattan and K-State community as a whole to promote the K-State Student Union and Union Program Council.

Six ambassadors represent the Greek communities, residence halls, Jardine and scholarship houses, the general campus community and the Manhattan community. Ambassadors are expected to assist with major campus recruitment events and be actively involved within their respective area of focus. Other responsibilities include office hours and outreach in their respective communities each week. All ambassadors must be a K-State student enrolled in six or more credit hours each semester, maintaining at 2.25 grade point average.

Each ambassador was chosen to represent the Union and Union Program Council to various communities within and outside campus. These individuals include Cesserie Ballou, sophomore in communication studies, history and pre-law; Brenna Ford, junior in communication studies; Robert Gorton, junior in construction science and management; Mary Jackson, senior in anthropology and English; Rachel Mustain, senior in public relations; and William Uebelhart, junior in accounting and finance.

“I am excited to continue helping the Union and Union Program Council, and I am interested to see what direction we decide to take this great program,” Uebelhart said.
