Corridor Conversation: Riviere to discuss global drug, food safety at Olathe campus

Jim Riviere, K-State's first member of the National Academy of Sciences, will present to the K.C. Animal Health Corridor on Feb. 7 as part of the popular Corridor Conversations series. Riviere will discuss the results of an Institute of Medicine study, which he chaired, examining gaps in regulatory systems of developing countries related to global drug and food safety.

Kansas State University Olathe is strategically positioned at the center of the Animal Health Corridor, with Greater K.C. area as the national leader. Kansas City area companies account for nearly 32 percent of total sales in the $19 billion global animal health market. The corridor extends from K-State in Manhattan to Colombia, Mo.
