"The successful proposals incorporated global perspectives and or components into curriculum or campus programs," said Marcelo Sabates, interim associate provost for international programs. "Others highlighted bringing international visitors/lectures to K-State campuses and developing global learning opportunities including study abroad courses and/or initiating collaborative research with universities overseas."

With the recently posted 2025 Internationalization Strategic Action Plan, the successful proposals demonstrated many of the goals outlined in the overall international vision of the university, Sabates said.

These grants are supported jointly by the office of the provost and the office of international programs. The proposals are judged by the College International Advisory Council, comprised of representatives from every college.

The office of international programs wishes to thank committee members for their careful analysis of the proposals as well as the time spent reviewing them. It is expected that grant funds will be available on a continuing basis.

The university is home to more than 2,090 international students this spring and many of these proposals are providing a rich diverse international opportunity for our students as well as faculty.
