OSU's provost Robert Sternberg to speak on career success

Oklahoma State University's provost, Robert Sternberg, will give the presentation "Optimizing Career Success: Lessons Learned from 38 Years as an Academic" at 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 6, in the Hale Library Hemisphere Room.

Sternberg received his doctorate from Stanford University and is one of the most famous psychologists of our generation. With more than 1,400 publications, he is known as a prolific writer and highly influential scientist. His major contributions to the field include the Triarchic theory of intelligence and various important theories related to creativity, wisdom, thinking styles, love and hate. Sternberg has served as president of the American Psychological Association, dean of Arts and Sciences at Tufts University, and provost of Oklahoma State University. He was recently named the 24th president of the University of Wyoming, a position he will begin on July 1.
