Emergency fire equipment tests

Between Sunday, June 23, through Friday, June 28, SimplexGrinnell will test the fire alarms in the following locations:

  • Advanced Manufacturing Institute
  • Natatorium
  • Military Science Hall
  • East Stadium
  • Edwards Hall
  • BiVAP
  • English/Counseling Services Building
  • Nichols Hall

Between Monday, June 24, through Thursday, June 27, SimplexGrinnell will finish up the annual fire suppression system — sprinkler — inspections by sounding the alarms in:

  • Anderson Hall
  • Burt Hall
  • King Annex
  • Chem/Biochem Building
  • College of Veterinary Medicine — Coles Hall, Mosier Hall and Trotter Hall
  • Durland Hall
  • Fiedler Hall
  • Foundation Center, including the Tower
  • Leadership Studies Building
  • Rathbone Hall
  • Roberts Hall
  • Seaton Hall
  • Seaton Court
  • Shellenberger Hall
  • Throckmorton Hall
  • Vanier Football Complex
  • Ward Hall
  • Weber Hall

To reduce the number of building occupants interrupted by the sound of alarms, the emergency fire systems will be tested every evening between 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Police dispatch, Facilities and the Manhattan Fire Department will be notified for each building at the start of the test. Please refer your comments and questions to safety@k-state.edu or call 785-532-5856.
