American Honey Institute: Workforce training and microcredential
Several partners are working together to develop the American Honey Institute and expand its training program. They are adding commercial and master level courses to enable world-class training at K-State and teach beekeeping at any level.
The outcomes of the partnership greatly benefit Kansas and the U.S. beekeeping and honey production industry more broadly. The American Honey Institute is bringing new jobs to Kansas, helping new honey producers operate in Kansas and addressing shortcomings in the commodity food chain that have existed for decades. It starts with education, properly training beekeepers and developing the future workforce in Kansas.
