Food as Medicine and Community Health Program
K-State Olathe plays a pivotal role in addressing major societal challenges through its strategic focus on community health and well-being, sustainability, global food security and enabling technologies. By leveraging its strengths in urban food systems, food safety, 1Data, and consumer and sensory research, K-State Olathe is creating an interdisciplinary research hub that extends from farm to fork.
K-State Olathe and a working group of partners are conducting an environmental scan to identify strategic opportunities and partnerships to establish a center for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research focused on food as medicine and community health.
This project is building resilient communities and fostering innovation throughout the state.
