TDI product/technology development educational program series
The K-State Technology Development Institute, or TDI, and NetWork Kansas are collaborating to introduce a new educational program to schools and communities on the process of evaluating, protecting and developing new products.
The school series focuses on various engineering careers that are available to students and provides details on TDI mechanical engineering work, including how new technologies, such as 3D printers, can be used for design and development of new products.
The community series takes a broader approach of the product development process and the network of state resources to support the creation of new products and technologies. This includes market research, the patenting process, designing and prototyping, and commercialization.
