An explaination of Success Skills Tutoring versus Academic Coaching
The difference between Academic Coaching and Success Skills Tutoring is best summed up as Academic Coaching is relational, Success Skills Tutoring is transactional. Academic Coaching is strong when Coach and student build that relationship and dive deep into situations, Success Skills Tutoring is about learning a skill in a session.
A more student-friendly explanation is that Academic Coaching is about building a plan, Success Skills Tutoring is about executing a plan.
