As the nation’s first operational land-grant university, Kansas State University is committed to serving the state’s 2.9 million residents. K-State is on the path to becoming a Top 50 public research university by 2025. As we succeed, so do Kansans. Our innovative researchers are improving the global food system, bioscience technology and animal health through interdisciplinary approaches that capitalize on existing resources. Research efforts bring in more than $150 million annually, a piece of the $276 million the university received last fiscal year in gifts, grants and research contracts. The university houses more than 90 research centers, allowing us to be at the forefront of discovery.
