Explore!: College is more than classes

High school sophomores and juniors have an opportunity to learn about undergraduate research and leadership opportunities at K-State during the annual Explore! event. The motto of the event is "college is more than classes." During the daylong experience, students learn about research and extracurricular opportunities at K-State, through hands-on learning, campus tours, and student panels. Regardless of student interest, Explore! demonstrates that K-State provides opportunities and connection to launch careers.

Second Annual Explore!: February 24, 2023

The second annual Explore! took place on February 24 from 9am-2:30pm, with an optional campus tour available at 8:00 am.

In addition to learning more about engagement opportunities for undergraduates, students visited Hale Library, the Chapman Center for Rural Studies, the Johnson Cancer Research Center, and the K-State Student Union. Students also met with the Career Center and heard from current K-State students.

The free program is sponsored by the Chapman Center for Rural Studies, the Johnson Cancer Research Center, K-State Libraries, the Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering, the Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry, the primary texts certificate program, TRIO, and the University Honors Program.
