Survivor support

An environment where survivors feel safe to seek the services and support they need is critical for positive trauma healing.

The Culture of Respect's survivor support pillar groups goals into four areas:

• Encourage reporting.
• Provide services.
• Offer accomodations.
• Other support.

Following our self assessment, K-State's goals to better support survivors are:

• Define sexual violence in policy and procedure manual chapter 3010.

• Establish a memorandum of understanding between K-State's CARE office and the Riley County Police Department to better support survivors through information sharing.
