The Peer Leader Collaborative is dedicated to supporting faculty and staff in creating and sustaining impactful Peer Leader programs at K-State. Our goal is to help you maximize the effectiveness of your Peer Leaders, ensuring they are well-prepared to guide and support students throughout their K-State journey.

We invite you to advertise your Peer Leader program on the Peer Mentorship Collaborative website. This platform serves as a resource for new students to connect with Peer Leaders and as a recruitment tool for those interested in becoming Peer Leaders. By promoting your program, you can reach a wider audience of students who are eager to participate, either as mentees or as leaders.

LEAD 312: Peer Leader Practicum

The LEAD 312: Peer Leader Practicum is a 3-credit hour course offered by the Division of Academic Success and Student Support (DASSA) in partnership with the Staley School of Leadership Studies. This course aims to train participants to become effective peer leaders by enhancing their critical thinking and communication skills, equipping them with practical strategies to support their peers, and fostering leadership qualities that strengthen campus engagement. The curriculum includes topics such as building relationships, facilitating group dynamics, and problem-solving, ensuring participants are well-prepared to guide others through their college experience.
