English Language Program

Kansas State University's English Language Program (ELP) helps students improve their English while earning an undergraduate degree, with some ELP courses counting toward graduation. Students can show English proficiency through standardized tests or take the FREE WildCAT English Proficiency Test online or on campus. The ELP focuses on student success with resources like tutoring, academic and personal advising, and a welcoming community.

Jardine houses students from nearly 50 different countries. There are 800+ apartments and townhomes to accommodate single students, married couples and families.

Scholarships & Aid Await

The Wildcat Nonresident Award is a scholarship opportunity available to students from all U.S. states and abroad, with no ACT or SAT required. To qualify, you must be a domestic or international degree-seeking student at the Manhattan or Salina campus and enroll in at least 12 credit hours during the fall and spring semesters.

  • The Morris Family Multicultural Student Center brings students together to celebrate all cultures and heritages.
  • The International Student and Scholar Services office (ISSS) provides essential immigration services for more than 2,200 international students and scholars from more than 100 countries who are involved in educational programs or research at K-State.
  • The International Student Center offers a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere for K-State students to socialize and connect.
  • A monthly international coffee hour gives international students a chance to present their country and culture to others.
  • Conversations with Kansans gives current students conversation practice opportunities and provides connection for future students.
  • 40 student organizations provide opportunities to gain leadership skills as well as learn about academic resources and cultures.
