I chose K-State because its College of Agriculture is one of the best in the country. Through K-State, I can take classes that teach me theories and the practical steps to put them into action. I have been able to make connections and to exercise my leadership abilities. I can develop my personality and my purpose in life.

How she chose K-State:

I chose K-State because of its college of Agriculture which is one of the best in the Country. I didn’t know what to expect until I met people who actually helped me feel safe and welcomed. Then I knew I was meant to come here.

Transitioning to university life:

At first, I was really nervous about the change. But doing the tour with other international student, I realize that I was not alone in the experience, I realized that there are people who have been there and made it through. It was reassuring.

How K-State helps her reach her goals:

Through K-State I am able to take classes that teach me theories and practical steps to put those in action. I have been able to make connections and to exercise my leadership abilities. I am able to develop my personality and my purpose in life.

Advice for new Wildcats:

Be ready to go out of your comfort zone. Be true to yourself and your values. Don’t be intimidated, release yourself. Participate in the community. Practice inclusion. Make sure you get familiar with your strengths and talents, because they will help you know more about yourself, people around you and other interesting things to explore.
