Why she chose K-State:

I have always craved the full college experience. As a first-generation college student, I didn’t have anyone in my family who could tell me about their experience. It was something that I wanted to further explore. I liked the idea of game days with friends, studying in the library, and building relationships.

How she transitioned to K-State:

One of the main things that helped me transition into college life was taking advantage of all of the on-campus resources K-State has to offer. For example, going to an academic coaching appointment helped me find new study techniques and manage my time better. It made me feel not as lost and less alone in certain situations.

Her favorite K-State experience:

My favorite K-State experience has been being involved in the Transfer Ambassador Program. This is a transfer student outreach program where we assist in any way that we can to ensure a smooth transition to K-State. As a transfer student myself, I understand some of the struggles that may follow. Personally, having this resource made my transition much easier and has been a great way to meet other transfer students while getting involved. I have really enjoyed being on the other side of things and being able to reach out to students and provide a smooth transition.
