Performance Agreements

Senate Bill 647 introduces "Performance-based Funding" to Kansas public postsecondary education through Performance Agreements. As envisioned by the Performance Agreements Task Force, the project will advance on two levels simultaneously.


Program Review

The periodic program review aims to enhance academic programs, thereby strengthening and enhancing the reputation of K-State. This review process helps achieve future goals, update curricula, and address the needs of students, faculty, and the Board of Regents.


Teaching and Learning Center

The K-State Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) promotes initiatives to improve teaching and learning at K-State. Key programs include the Faculty Exchange for Teaching Excellence and the Peer Review of Teaching Program. TLC collaborates with faculty, consults on teaching practices, and manages the TEVAL and IDEA student rating systems. Additionally, the TLC offers the Principles of College Teaching course, a 3-credit class available to graduate students and faculty through the College of Education.


Office of the Provost

The provost, Kansas State University's Chief Academic Officer, plays a crucial role in upholding the university's academic standards. In collaboration with the president and the Deans Council, the provost leads the development and review of policies and goals related to instruction, research, and extension programs.


Office of Data, Assessment, and Institutional Research (DAIR)

The Office of Data, Assessment, and Institutional Research (DAIR) provides a wide variety of supportive services for academic and administrative units and departments.

These include:

  1. Providing staff support for strategic planning efforts initiated by the Provost;
  2. Conducting administrative evaluation programs;
  3. Conducting analytical studies of critical university issues;
  4. Completing internal and external data requests and requirements; and
  5. Supporting university task force and committee assignments.
