Welcome

The Brain and Body sensing Lab is part of the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Kansas State University. Our research efforts are focused on biomedical signal and image processing, developing assistive technologies, especially EEG-based brain-computer interfaces.

In the BBS Lab, we mainly use electro-encephalogram (EEG) recordings for estimating user's communicative intent or emotional state. The communication technologies could be helpful for people with severe disabilities, while the emotion estimation has broader applications. Additionally we are also working on non-invasive sensing technologies such as load cells to capture ballistocardiogram signal.
