Half the class fails

Fact: Here is the average grade distribution for 13,439 students who took all seven exams during the past 22 semesters (from Spring 2008 - Fall 2018). Note that 39% of these students got an A or a B. Only 10% failed. This grade distribution is fairly stable from semester to semester. In addition, there are no significant differences in the grade distributions for the fall vs. the spring semesters. These grades do not include the daily quizzes, which increase grades a bit for the majority of students.
