Undergraduate scholarship information
The Department of Biochemistry has funds through KSU Foundation from which scholarships are awarded. Several scholarships of $500 are awarded annually from the Barlow, Burkhard, Havley, Hughes and Merrill funds. These awards are renewable for recipients that continue as Biochemistry majors and remain in good academic standing (GPA of 3.5 or higher), but you must reapply each year.
How to apply
1. Have Biochemistry as a declared major.
2. Submit a K-State scholarship application in the K-State Scholarship Network. For more information.
Criteria
Applicants are reviewed and selected for their outstanding academic record and interest in the field of biochemistry. Awards are typically made to high school graduates with outstanding GPAs and ACT scores, as well as outstanding continuing biochemistry students.

Ford Foundation Fellowships Program
Approximately 60 predoctoral, 35 dissertation and 20 postdoctoral fellowships are sponsored by the Ford Foundation and administered by the National Research Council of the National Academies.
