CARE Healing Fund
The Center for Advocacy, Response, and Education (CARE) recognizes the importance of mental health and well-being of survivors of sexual and interpersonal violence. CARE believes that financial standing of a survivor should not be a hinder to the healing process.
The Victim of Crime Act (VOCA) has sponsored the CARE office with funds to establish a Healing Fund that provides financial assistance to Kansas State students and staff members. Access to the Healing Fund is contingent upon approval of VOCA funding and is subject to change.
The CARE Healing Fund is available to only:
- Students enrolled in classes
- Staff and faculty members
Students, staff, and faculty will receive funding towards the cost of therapy/mental health services based on their ability to pay and insurance co-pays.
Funding is paid directly to service providers and is not subject to reimbursement. CARE will not be billed for cancelled or missed sessions. Sessions do not need to be used consecutively.
You must meet with a CARE advocate in person or remotely prior to accessing the CARE Healing Fund. The letter is only valid if signed by the Director or an advocate. Letters dated from the previous grant year will not be accepted.
If you are interested in using the Healing Fund, please fill out the questionnaire found here and contact our office to schedule an appointment with an advocate.
Please contact CARE if you have any questions regarding the use of the Healing Fund.
