Job Summary: The Career Center facilitates the career readiness of all students in the K-State community. We help students explore their interests and values, develop their potential through internships and involvement, teach them to tell their story through resumes and interviews, and connect them with employers and opportunities. We offer individual advising, assessments, workshops, career classes, and events that help clients explore majors and careers, develop job search strategies, and make direct links to employers interested in hiring K-State students.

Seeking a candidate to lead strategic efforts to increase the awareness of the Career Center among students and the university community. Candidate will develop social media materials that promote the Career Center brand, programming, services, and resources. Individual will manage integrated communications efforts across traditional and emerging media platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative social media campaigns
  • Build posting timelines for university-wide and college specific events
  • Collaborate with Career Center colleagues, Housing and Dining Marketing staff, and Division of Communications and Marketing to effectively promote and brand K-State Career Center
  • Deliver content via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other digital platforms
  • Attend events for live broadcasting and posting
  • Compile analytics and assess effectiveness of campaigns

Hourly Wage: $9.00

Conditions of Appointment:

Flexible scheduling of 10-15 hours per week (anticipate more around events). May involve some evenings to cover events
