New Roles with the Career Center Team
October 20, 2021 -- The K-State Career Center is pleased to share news about recent hires and promotions within the department. In late September, Teresa Parks joined the team as Assistant Director and liaison to the College of Health and Human Sciences. Teresa brings significant experience in career and workforce development assisting youth and transitioning military. Teresa has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from K-State and a master’s degree in administration from University of Phoenix.
After serving in multiple career development roles, Jared Meitler has been promoted to Associate Director. Jared will serve as the liaison to the Graduate School, primary point of contact for new campus engagement initiatives and supervise training of the Career Center’s student staff. Jared has a bachelor’s degree in human development and a masters’ degree in student development, both from K-State. Jared will also supervise a coordinator who will serve as liaison to the College of Architecture Planning and Design.
A search for the coordinator position will be announced soon. A second search will follow to fill an opening for the Assistant Director who serves as liaison for undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences.
