New Roles with the Career Center Team
February 14, 2022 — The Career Center is pleased to announce recent hires and responsibility changes within the department. Earlier this Spring 2022 semester, Chloe Wurst and Taylor Gnagi joined the team. Chloe has assumed the role of Assistant Director and serves as the liaison to undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences. Taylor joined the team as a Coordinator of Career Exploration and serves as the liaison to the College of Architecture, Planning and Design.
Wurst’s duties include career advising, presenting about the Career Center, preparing students for career readiness and more. She is passionate about advising and enjoys her experience at the Career Center. “The people around me that I am working with are incredibly helpful, kind and gracious. They make it easy for me to come to work because of the genuine desire to help our students and succeed as a career services center,” said Wurst. She is pursuing a doctorate in Leadership in Academic Advising through K-State’s global campus.
Gnagi’s duties include overseeing major and career exploration appointments as well as assisting students in the College of Architecture, Planning and Design. Her Clifton strengths include empathy, connectedness, developer, responsibility, and positivity. Gnagi values her time at the Career Center. Gnagi said, “I really enjoy the collaborative working environment. I get to work with students, staff members, and professionals to serve the students at K-State as best as we can,”. She is a K-State graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and Human Services and has a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Auburn University.
In addition to these new hires, the Career Center recently made changes to the responsibilities of two other continuing staff. Associate Director Pat Hudgins continues to serve as the liaison to the College of Education and is also now advising pre-health students in the College of Arts and Sciences. Hudgins has been with the Career Center since 2013. In October, Jared Meitler was promoted to Associate Director and became the liaison to the Graduate School. He specifically advises graduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences. Jared has been with the Career Center since 2012.
Students can meet in-person or online with Chloe, Taylor, Pat, Jared, and other Career Center advisors by appointment. Instructions on how to make appointments can be found on the Career Center website.
