Uniontown USD 235 is a rural school district of 487 students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Uniontown is located just south of Highway 54, fifteen miles west of Fort Scott and 25 miles east of Iola. Uniontown has a National Blue Ribbon Award-winning PK-6th grade elementary school. Both the elementary and JH/HS buildings have strong academic programs.

The technology used in the district includes a 1:1 initiative in grades K-12. PK-3 students use iPads while grades 4-8 students use Chromebooks and 9-12 students have personal laptops.

Extracurricular activities include a full offering of sports including football, cross country, volleyball, wrestling, basketball, baseball, softball, and track. Non-athletic activities include cheerleading, forensics, scholars bowl, band, vocal, and FFA.

Woodson School District 366 is a rural school district proudly serving the communities of Neosho Falls, Piqua, Toronto, and Yates Center. There are two attendance centers located in Yates Center with an enrollment of about 400 students.
