• Supervisors who can provide another layer of support as you adjust to college life
• A professional network of people who could potentially provide you with development opportunities and letters of recommendation in the future

• On-campus jobs are often close in proximity to the dorms, so you can walk/ride to work
• Flexible scheduling: Students in on-campus jobs often work around 10-15 hours/week (some jobs may allow students to work more or less than that), which allows the flexibility of scheduling your work hours before, between, and/or after class
• Most campus jobs are closed during breaks and holidays
• Many campus jobs are closed on the evenings and weekends

• Earning money through an on-campus job can help off-set some of the costs of attending college
• Jobs on campus pay up to $15/hour for specialized or physical labor roles, and less for more general jobs
• In addition to compensation, on-campus jobs offer additional convenience and support to the student population
• You do not need to have Federal Work Study funding to work an on-campus job, but you can check your eligibility for Federal Work Study funding through the Office of Student Financial Assistance
  • Nearly all on-campus jobs can utilize work study funding
  • Once a student is employed, the office will submit work study paperwork to financial aid on their behalf
