Well-being Advising
Well-being Advising is a free service for K-State students that uses a non-clinical approach to providing support in the areas of social and emotional well-being. Professional well-being advisors listen and help students develop skills and access resources needed to address their well-being needs.
Well-being advising is a great starting point for students who may be experiencing challenges related to their well-being and want to improve their self-advocacy and resiliency skills.
Students will engage in activities and explore strategies that could strengthen their well-being challenges, including the opportunity to take the PERMAH Wellbeing Survey. This tool can provide feedback in the areas of:
- positive emotion
- engagement
- relationships
- meaning
- accomplishment
- health
Students will be supported through regular check-ins, follow-up sessions, and campus referrals, when needed.
Meet with a Well-being Advisor
Any student can meet with a Well-being Advisor! Meetings take place in the Morrison Family Center for Student Well-being which is centrally located on the second floor of the K-State Union, Room 217.
You can expect to meet privately with a Well-being Advisor where you can not only share your well-being concerns, but receive guidance and support as you create a well-being plan that is personalized to help you reach your goals.
