Research
Supporting scholarship through funding
We preserve the memories and histories of an early era of rural Kansas. As one of the state's leading centers on rural studies, the Chapman Center at Kansas State University strives to fund undergraduate research highlighting rural Kansas communities.
By fully supporting research, rotating grants, and student internships, we strive to help our undergraduate and graduate students gain the skills and knowledge to flourish in their research and future careers.
Student Research
Since 2009, 94 student researchers producing over 262 projects with exceptional record of job and graduate school placement. Our students gain technical knowledge and skills in the preservation of archival materials and currently serve as curators, museum directors, and other public professionals in Kansas and nationally.
