- Adam graduated with a Ph.D. degree (May 2016). Thesis: Energy Transfer and Exciton Dynamics in Photosynthetic Pigment–Protein Complexes.

- Jacob graduated with a B.S. degree (May 2016). Senior Thesis: Modeling the CP43 Complex of PSII.

- Prof. Jankowiak received a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy (funding period: September 2016 – August 2019). Project Title: Mutants of Light Harvesting Antennas and Reaction Centers.

- Prof. Jankowiak was named as a Distinguished Fellow of the Kosciuszko Foundation Collegium of Eminent Scientists.

- Adam was awarded a University Distinguished Professors' Graduate Student Award (2015).

- Kevin received an Undergraduate Research Fellowship from the College of Arts and Sciences.

- Kevin Robben (Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics) joined the group as an undergraduate researcher.

- Trevor Elwell-Cuddy (Chemistry) received an Undergraduate Research Fellowship from the College of Arts and Sciences.

- Mahboobe Jassas joined the group as a graduate student. She graduated from Tabriz University (Iran).

- Adam was awarded a Kansas State University Research Foundation Doctoral Research Scholarship (2014–2015).

- Jinhai Chen joined the group as a research associate.

- Prof. Jankowiak has received a grant from U.S. Department of Energy (funding period: September 2014 – August 2016). Project Title: High-Resolution Study of Photochemical and Nonphotochemical Processes in Biological Proteins Assembled with Photosynthetic Pigments.

- Ben graduated with a B.S. degree (August 2013). Senior Thesis: Modeling Studies, Absorption and Hole-Burning Spectroscopy of Alc. vinosum's LH2 Complex.

- Adam participated in the Scientific Research Exchange Program through the Photosynthetic Antenna Research Center to research at Washington University in St. Louis with Prof. Robert E. Blankenship.

- Jacob Schroeder (Chemistry) received an Undergraduate Research Fellowship from the College of Arts and Sciences.

- Christopher Bouska (Chemistry) received an Undergraduate Research Fellowship from the College of Arts and Sciences.

- Ben received an Undergraduate Research Fellowship from the College of Arts and Sciences.

- Prof. Jankowiak has received funding from the Kansas NSF EPSCoR program for the fifth year.

- Ben Douglas (Chemistry and Biochemistry) joined the group as an undergraduate researcher.

- Adam was awarded the Phi Lambda Upsilon Graduate Research Award (2013).

- Prof. Jankowiak was chosen as one of five new university distinguished professors. News

- Chen and Adam received a travel award to attend the American Chemical Society International-Domestic Student Summit and present their research at the ACS Regional Meeting in Raleigh, NC. They are 2 out of 18 students selected nationwide to attend the summit. News

- Dalia Camacho (Chemistry) Joined the group as an undergraduate researcher.

- Adam received a fellowship through the European Social Fund to research at the University of Tartu (Tartu, Estonia) with Prof. Jörg Pieper for the month of September. News

- Thomas Pruitt (Baker University, Baldwin City, KS) joined the group as a summer student through the Chemistry Research Experience for Undergraduates.

- Prof. Jankowiak received a $480,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Energy (funding period: September 2011 – August 2014). Project Title: Resonant and Non-Resonant Hole-Burning and Delta Fluorescence Line-Narrowing Study of BChls in Excitonically Coupled Photosynthetic Systems.

- Prof. Jankowiak was selected as an Honorary Fellow of the Australian Institute of High Energetic Materials.

- On 14 April 2011, we organized "The 5th Annual Chemistry Symposium at Kansas State University." More than 80 high school and community college students attended the symposium. Six professors from Kansas State University and University of Kansas were invited to give talks about photosynthesis and clean energy. News

- David Harwood (Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA) joined the group as a summer student through the Chemistry Research Experience for Undergraduates.

- Adam Kell joined the group as a graduate student. He graduated from Truman State University (Kirksville, MO).

- Prof. Jankowiak received a $380,000 grant from the National Science Foundation (funding period: 2009–2013). Project Title: Comparative Studies of Electronic Structure and Dynamic Processes in Model Photosynthetic Complexes Using Spectral Hole Burning and Single Complex Spectroscopies. News
