Giving to the Department

The Chemistry Department is proud of our tradition of excellence in the classroom, the research laboratory and in service to the profession and our community. Friends and alumni are key partners who help us enrich our programs. This support is highly-valued and is crucial in this era of diminishing state funding for higher education. The Department is fortunate to have a number of funds, supported by our alumni and friends, that enable us to provide financial aid to our undergraduates and graduate students, and also enable us to continue to grow as a department. Most of these funds are managed by the KSU Foundation, and donations can be made to those funds by clicking on the fund to which you choose to donate.

In addition to our numerous general support funds shown above, we have numerous named scholarships and support funds endowed by various alumni and friends of the department. A list of these Named Scholarships are available below. While these funds can not be donated to directly via the Foundation, if you are interested in donating to them please reach out to Prof. Christer Aakeroy the Head of the Chemistry Department to explore possible options to donate.

Make your check payable to the KSU Foundation, the official fundraising arm of the university. Please note on your check or money order the fund to which you want to designate your gift.

It is also possible to endow a fund – for scholarship support or other purposes – that will honor the memory of a loved one or a mentor. Please contact the KSU Foundation toll free at 800-432-1578 about establishing an endowment, or to arrange a bequest to the Department of Chemistry, or establish an income-earning annuity.
