About Institutional Animal Care and Use

Kansas State University is committed to providing an animal care and use program that provides a humane and compliant environment for its research animals. The Office of Research Integrity, Compliance, and Security (ORICS) administers this program and supports the efforts of scientists and students in a collaborative research and teaching environment.

New IACUC Guideline

New IACUC Guidelines (#2 Policy on Prolonged Physical Restraint and #31 Transportation) have been updated and/or released. These guidelines will help research teams to better categorize pain and distress. Please visit the IACUC Guidelines page for more information.
