International Students
Often times we may experience difficulty adjusting to life when we are away from home. We may experience culture shock, loneliness, isolation, misunderstood, or discrimination, which can make the transitioning even more difficult. We may hesitate about reaching out for support because of feelings of guilt or shame, or the message we hear from society about seeking counseling.
As an agency, we are committed to working with students who are struggling with various factors that may come with adjustment. We are also committed to working with on-campus partners to help bring awareness of barriers that international students experience, which may impact their wellbeing. We are also committed to working with international students and on-campus partners to help heightened awareness of resources or strategies that can be implemented to help students feel supported as they transitioned to college life and being away from home.
