The selection process
Each application is initially screened by the Selection Committee to ensure it meets the minimum criteria.
Each applicant's file will be evaluated and rated by at least two Selection Committee members. Selected applicants will receive a Zoom or phone interview.
All formal interviews are by Zoom or phone. We decided to avoid on-site interviews to increase accessibility for all applicants. Interview costs can be quite expensive, and we acknowledge these costs may disproportionately affect some students relative to others. The formal interviews are usually conducted with at least two clinical staff members interviewing the candidate and include interview questions and a clinical vignette.
The satisfactory completion of a background check is a condition of employment. Background checks will be initiated after Match Day.
Optional Open House
We will host a virtual open house for intern applicants. We view the open house as an opportunity to show applicants our center, meet all our staff, talk privately with current interns, and have any questions answered about our great site! We know time and finances are tight, so attendance is optional, and not required to be ranked.
